Yorkshire Fitness Duo raise funds for Move the Masses
The first Tuesday of every month is our fundraising circuits session at Acomb Fire Station. North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service kindly give us the use of their appliance room (fire engine garage, to the rest of us!) so we can run a fun fitness class whilst raising some money.
February's session was hosted by the fab fitness duo Katie and Mark of Yorkshire Fitness. They led a 14-strong team through a rigorous warm up, hilarious rugby-ball balance games, agility challenges and resistance training. The feedback we received from participants was so positive; everyone had a great time and loads of fun.
"I really loved the session, so much fun. When else would I ever get to work out in a fire station?!"
So far, this session alone has raised a wonderful £115 in online and cash donations. If you want to make a donation you still can, using this link.
We're on the lookout for other brilliant fitness professionals to host some fundraising sessions for us, so if that's you or you know someone who would love to lead a session, let us know.
Our next fundraising circuits session is on the 5th March, so get the date in your diary. For those who absolutely loved Katie and Mark, they'll be back hosting for us on the 4th of June (and in the meantime, you should check out their New Earswick bootcamp) - we'd like to say a massive thanks to them for their support.
